Set My Face

Inspired by Isaiah 50:7 “For the Lord GOD will help me; I shall not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like flint, and know that I shall not be ashamed.”

This monoprint was an example of an assignment for the curriculum I designed in 2004 for the Advanced Placement Two-dimensional Studio Art course at Convent of the Sacred Heart, New York City.  My sample incorporated imagery from the Tribeca/Civic Center neighborhood which had come to be called “Ground Zero” after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, my home since 1978.
